unlockR is a lightweight simple tool that allows you to remove the password from PDF password-protected files.

It is a straightforward app with a drag-and-drop option that unlock and decrypt PDF files with simple clicks. Soon as the process is complete it allows you to empty the password field and generate a new decrypted PDF file, that does not require any password to open or read.

The app is developed by Jagadeesh Kotra, and is released as an open-source project under the GPL-3.0 License.

Currently, unlockR is available for Windows and Linux system.

Linux's users can either build it from source or use the Flatpack package from FlatHub.
